Rules
General Rules
1. Be nice to other members.
2. The staff always has the final say.
3. Advertising is only allowed in the board labeled “advertise and affiliate”.
4. If you have a question about something, post in the “questions and suggestions” board or PM a staff member, and we will answer you as soon as we can.
5. This site is rated PG-13.
6. Please don’t stretch the board with your signatures.
Character Rules
1. Canon characters are only allowed for people who have read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books, on which this site is based.
2. These types of characters are not allowed: Children of Hera, Artemis, and Hestia; OC Big 3 children; OC relatives of canon characters; gods/goddesses/titans not found in the books or in Greek mythology; Mary Sues.
3. Mary Sue is a glamorous, way-too-perfect, usually female character who is often the product of a writer trying to insert herself into the story. If you can pull off a self-insert without her becoming a Sue, that’s fine. Otherwise, don’t do it. Take a Mary Sue Litmus Test if you’re not sure how your character measures up.
4. OC hunters can be mortals, nymphs, or non-big 3 demigods.
5. An OC can’t replace a canon character (as lieutenant hunter, cabin leader, canon character’s love interest, etc).
RoleplayRules
1. There is no word count for posts, but you need to write several sentences at the very minimum. No one likes trying to reply to a one-liner.
2. No one’s perfect, but I’d appreciate if everyone tried to use proper spelling and grammar.
3. No power-playing. You only control the actions of your own character. Not someone else’s. So if you’re playing one of two campers fighting a hellhound, you can’t make the other camper get scared and call for help because you want your character to be the hero.
4. No god-modding. Your character can’t battle an army of monsters on his own without getting hurt unless your character is a god or bathed in the Styx, which has only been done successfully three times before.
