Percy Jackson woke up lazy. If it wasn't for his ADHD, he would have just vegetated in bed the whole day long. Such an idea was very tempting, but once he was awake he couldn't keep still. The sunlight filtering through the windows of his cabin didn't help much and neither did the sounds of all the other campers laughing and talking outside. There was nothing left to do but to roll out of bed.
He dragged his feet through the morning routine of getting cleaned and eating breakfast. What followed was several minutes of indecision as to how to spend the rest of his day. Percy tried some sparring, but couldn't find a willing partner. Those were hard to come by when you were invulnerable. Some campers were of the opinion that it just didn't make things fair and Percy didn't feel like spending this time stabbing at inert straw dummies.
Next he tried his hand at archery but had to stop after he almost shot someone in the neck. Some things never changed. You could save the world several times but still suck at the fine art of archery. Speaking of which...Percy made a quick getaway before the Apollo camper he almost killed made him speak in rhyme for the rest of the week. He had a feeling that any haikus he might sprout would be worse then Apollo's and that was saying something.
Without actually thinking about it, Percy made his way to the stables. It wasn't until Blackjack's mental voice sounded in his head that Percy realized that he had forgotten something very important. He petted his pockets and then grinned sheepishly at the all black Pegasus. "Sorry, no sugar cubes on me." He reached out and petted Blackjack's neck. "Next time alright. And I'll try to get my hands on donuts too." He added as Blackjack grumbled.
